According to the Ocala Star Banner the former Porter's building on 441 in Summerfield will soon be home to an RV business and a camping business. Camping World and Good Sam will both be moving into the building from other locations to be closer to The Villages.

The Camping World location in Ocala was a total joke. Had a really hard time even finding the place. Then you had to work your way through a throng of salesmen doing nothing except smoking cigarettes to get to the store. Porter's should be an excellent choice for them. If they add a lot more inventory in their retail store, they'll get my RV accessory and supply business. It'll be a nice addition to (near-by) The Villages. However, if I were looking for RV service or maybe a new RV, I'd probably stick with Alliance RV in Wildwood. They are tops in my book.

sad to read that - not an rv person - was hoping for a Christmas tree shops there!
