Default Removing vinyl siding in lanai

We’re thinking of removing the siding on the walls inside our enclosed lanai and replacing it with shiplap. Has anyone done this, and if so, anything you’d like to share about the pros and cons?

If you do it consider saving a few full pieces and some "J" channel as well. Never know when you might need to make a repair on another part of your home. You could also ask a neighbor with the same color if they want any. I got some from a neighbor several years ago (kept it in the attic) and it came in handy when a stone went thru my siding.
