Is there a ID card for renters so that they can use golf course and other Village stuff?:

Smile Renter ID

My brother in law just purchased a house in the Villages. He is going to be renting it out for a year before he moves down full time. How does he get ID card for long term renters? Thanks in advance.

Contact the sales office & they will point you in the right direction. You have to turn in your ID cards, & your renter has to go and pick up their cards at the sales office, & pay $50.00.

After the owner turns in their Resident ID's, the owner will fill out a Temporary Resident ID Request and submit it to the pass office. The form asks for the name and address of the two people getting the temporary Resident ID. It's quite easy and the form can be mailed, faxed, or emailed.

As long as the homeowner you're renting from has turned in their resident ID cards, you will be able to get up to two temporary resident IDs that entitle you to access everything that the resident/owner has access to.
