Many times your insurance will pay for your windshield repair sometimes with no deductible. They also will have a recommendation of who to use to fix it.

Very important insist on Original windshield, not an after market, a non-factory windshield could hurt the car value by as much s $5000.00

As suggested, call your insurance company. The windshield repair person should come right to your door and fix it on the spot.

We used SafeLite and were very satisfied. They are Nationwide and will come to you.

Windshields do not even cost $5,000. I don't know how not having an OEM windshield could devalue your car that much. Of course, its all up to your insurance company and what they will replace or fix.

it all depends on the make & model of car--the panorama magic sky roof that cracked on my wife's SL was $18,700.

Default Safelight

If you have full insurance coverage on your car, Florida Law requires the company to replace it with no deductible.

My insurance company (USAA) website automatically diverted my on-line claim to Safelight. Safelight came to my house (in Tampa) and made the replacement at no cost.

That's not the front windshield, front windshields are usually the cheapest to replace. IMO not worth insurance claim. Too many claims and you get put in insurance prison. Then, your rates go sky high and your stuck. Companies like insurance claims on front windshields, they hike up the price of the repair. JMHO form pass nightmares.
