I thought I'd like to replace my older microwave and started checking out measurements of the newer ones. My house is a 1991 model, and the cabinetry is only 12.5 inches deep. The existing microwave is 14 inches deep, but all the new ones seem to be around 16 inches deep! The other measurements are fine (height and width).
Am I really going to have to change out all the cabinets just to get a new microwave? Has anyone found a microwave to fit over the stove in the existing cabinets of an older home? |

you might want to go to where they sell microwaves and have them help you

We replaced ours and it only sticks out about 2 inches, it is not flush with our cabinets but it looks good.
