Default replacing an older over stove microwave

I thought I'd like to replace my older microwave and started checking out measurements of the newer ones. My house is a 1991 model, and the cabinetry is only 12.5 inches deep. The existing microwave is 14 inches deep, but all the new ones seem to be around 16 inches deep! The other measurements are fine (height and width).

Am I really going to have to change out all the cabinets just to get a new microwave? Has anyone found a microwave to fit over the stove in the existing cabinets of an older home?

We replaced ours and it only sticks out about 2 inches, it is not flush with our cabinets but it looks good.

You just need to change the filter on that site. Here are the over the stove models 12"-13" depth.
All 4 can be used as countertop or hung below a cabinet. You need to click the model name to get the specs.
Over the Counter Depth: 12" - 12.9" Microwaves

Thank you for the filter advice......looks like if you want a smaller microwave you also get lower wattage....maybe I'll have to put up with it sticking out a bit. I wanted to replace mine because of the low wattage, but it still works fine.
