I thought the whole experience was wonderful. I recorded it and have been watching bits and pieces during the day. We are lucky people here. And it is great that, except a couple of posts, we can leave the political out of this thread.

Gracie - Did you find our 8 eyed 8 legged friend yet?

Saw Fox & Friends on the tube this morning from up north. Showed TV in a good light I think.

Did you notice the booing the crowd did when the ONE left wing guest was speaking? That was very welcoming....

I watched most of it on television, fast forwarding through some of the segments. It was wonderful to see the kids from the high school perform... such smiling faces.
Having been involved with the military for over 20 years, it was nice to see many military watching, also. Many who live here have spent years in the military and recognize the effort and sacrifice all make, military members as well as their families. The smiling faces of residents were sure to let all know just how happy people living here, are.

It's always nice to see your hometown on national television...and not have a disaster causing the appearance. This wasn't a political rally, it was a network, celebrating their 15th year on the air, and the Villages was part of that celebration.

Lest any of you think I'm a Fox groupie, do know that I'm not, but I am a proud Villager and was thrilled to see our hometown, shining!

Twice you have tried to steer this political. Please, it was a nice time and a nice experience, give it a break, please. This is general discussion? : )

It was absolutely pouring rain before the show started. That's why we didn't go and I'm sure others were the same.

Just like what we hear as soon as Today and GMA start in with their obvious political bent. But all three of these shows have segments that are "americana", and interesting.

Can't say that I did. Fast forwarded as I was only interested in seeing our lovely community on TV (and hopefully seeing someone I recognized) because I am not down there yet! I so miss TV...there truly is NO PLACE LIKE HOME...maybe if I click my heals...I think I already packed my ruby slippers!

Another wannabee who watched some of Fox and Friends yesterday before having to leave for work . I was also wondering about the soldiers -- what base where they from? Where is Hurricane Grill & Wings located in or near TV? I enjoyed what I saw of the show.

Default also....

The Fox news show was about celebrating their 15 year anniversary; so naturally it was mostly about them. I only got to see small snippets of it. I too had to go to work ;(. I was looking for our friends in the crowd...did not see them.

This morning they showed Doocey trying to do line dancing at the Waterfront hotel....very entertaining! I am very glad they showed TV in a positive light. This morning they did give great props to TV for being such a great venue. I think they covered TV more in past shows. Seems like they have said that Doocey or Kilmead's parents live in TV. Does anyone know them?

I DVR'd it hoping to see more of The Villages and was disappointed by the coverage.
Foreigners original lead singer is no longer with the group so their music was disappointing to me; just say'in.

I recorded the show and did watch it all later, and I did hear it happen at least one time during the show. It sounded like it might have been two, three or even as many as a half dozen people at most and I believe that it might have dragged on for more than a second, maybe two during the three hour show!

Hey Swimdawg -

If there's any chance you have photos of Oliver North from Wednesday, could you please let me know. My husband was there and gave him a "Grateful American" challenge coin and shook his hand. Unfortunately, our friend with the camera pushed the wrong button and we have no record of it!

If you need help uploading/downloading photos from your camera, please PM me. I'm sure that between me and my husband we can help get your photos posted.

Thanks!
