There are more deaths by guns in the US than deaths by golf carts. Maybe they (our overpaid, underworked bureaucrates) can pass laws limiting speeding bullets to 10, 15 or 20 MPH. The only thing wrong is they couldn't give you a traffic ticket for it!

I am sure he will stress locking up the gun when kids are in the house.

How many gun deaths in the US are accidental and how many are in the commission of a crime?
Long before we were required to lock up our guns, my children came to me one day to tell me that they had found my gun. It was out of reach but the important thing is that they came to me. They were 8 & 5. Training starts at age 4. Locks fail but proper training lasts forever.

Just some thoughts

Personal Protection for Women /Refuse to be a victim

3:00 pm at Hibiscus Recreation Center (All are welcome)

This is FREE, you will get some very good information on personal protection with and without a firearm and things you can do around the home for added security.
Thanks Figmo. I think there might be a large crowd in attendance.

I really think the lady at the local hospital could have used the information that Mrs Ellen Rogers and Loren Collett will be giving our for free. BTW, she will be taking it home, she lives here. Have a nice day.

I presume the information you would have told the lady at the Villages Hospital would be not to park in an isolated part of the parking lot and to be vigilant of her surroundings. It would not be, I hope, to walk from her car to the employee entrance with her pistol drawn ready to blast at someone who talked to her.

I am sure you will be giving good information at your seminar with all the good experience you have had. I am going to ask my wife to attend it.

I have two siminars that I give, one for non-firearm personal protection and the other for CWL holders. I will be giving both on this date, your first example, above, any trainer would never tell anyone to do, besides being against the law in Florida, open carry is not legal and that is what you are suggesting. Both power points are interesting and everyone can kearn a lot from both of them concerning personal protection.

Common sense works well too. AND working very hard and managing your money and not over spending on things you don't need so you can live in a relatively safe area. I think that may be why I reached the age of 70 without too much trouble or a need to carry a gun. But you never know........

I think you would seat more people in Orlando.

Default My weekly police blotter summary

Today's Police Blotter:

33 arrests last week in the tri-county area. Only two TV residents:

One 33 year old TV resident arrested for grand theft.
One 21 year old arrested for order to commit. .

So, two arrests for a community of 90,000 during our busiest season of the year, both non-violent charges (remember these are not convictions). I still don't feel that there are too many TV residents exhibiting "bad behavior." I certainly don't feel the need to take away their shuffleboard privileges.

Could you please tell me the number of the post you are referring to in this response? I cannot seem to find it so I can figure out what his examples were and what the date of your seminars are.

Thanks,
Z

Thanks but that did not tell me what you were referring to with the rest of the note I quoted. The part I was interested in.

I think Figmo was referring to post #200, specifically “It would not be, I hope, to walk from her car to the employee entrance with her pistol drawn ready to blast at someone who talked to her.”

Smile Another robbery at Gunpoint

Jerry Seinfeld said, "why do people keep going to gunpoint? It's just too dangerous."

I thought it was funny ... couldn't resist :-)
