Default Bugs!

Is anyone else having issues with millipedes and earwigs everywhere? We are absolutely overrun with them inside and out! Dean's has been out 2x this month but we're still seeing the nasty creatures.

The answer is no from this household. Never have seen them here in nine years.

This article is interesting. Check mulch. May be too thick and wet.

Been there with millipedes - one year and then they were gone. We had new construction at the time.

We have an occasional earwig in the house, and a spider maybe twice a year. I spray the foundation of the house bi-monthly with CrossXcheck and I swear by this product. That said, we are under seige with moths, little moths flying around the lawn and small oak trees, snails on the siding, and the dreaded mole crickets in the yard. We have the lawn treated bi-monthly for weed/feed, and insects. I am treating the foundation for snails and spot treating the mole crickets. Apparently late April is the time to kill the cricket larvae now being planted under our grass. ☺ Back to your problem, I suggest spraying your home perimeter with CrossXcheck or Talstar. Check Amazon for availability.

Knock on wood, we had a few ants last year, deans took care of that, and nothing since.

What part of the villages? None up north where I'm at? Just got back from way up north Illinois! Stopped at first rest stop in Georgia on I75. Make sure your windows are rolled up hundreds of gnats got in my car. I've been swatting them for weeks!

Default Pine Straw????

I happened to be in The Purple Pig one day when a pest guy was talking to one of the employees about her millipede problem in her house (hundreds). He told her that one of the reasons she is having such a problem is because they love pine straw, and that's what she had in her beds. When there is a lot of rain, they seek a drier area, and in this case, her house!

This is our second summer dealing with millipedes. I am told it is due to the rain and nothing will stop them. If anyone has an answer, I would love to hear it.
