Then I left after giving her back the hardest glare I had in me.

I have never seen this woman before this. Beau does have a problem with a certain dog--Milo-- that comes to the Postal Center but this was not that dog's owner. That is all Beau's fault too as far as Milo is concerned as for some reason he just really dislikes Milo even though they have never come face-to-face.

Milo's owner does walk with a cane so I try to be as sensitive to her needs as possible by taking Beau where Milo is not.
Tal, I was finished with this until your last post. Now I'm not saying this is so, but could it be that when she stopped and you looked up at her, she thought you were aware of her presence, and by not gesturing for her to not enter, she started edging in thinking innocently that you would let her know if she was intruding on you? This could have just been a big misunderstanding. If I were you, I would chalk this up to a mistake, not an intentional aggression.

Isn't it more logical to stay stopped and not move until you're gestured to proceed? It's sort of like driving at a pedestrian crossing the road at 45 mph. and planning to continue unless the pedestrian gives you a stop gesture. I, of course, would have a different gesture in mind.....

No not really. I'm not being cagey.

I want you to say what you want.

Like when you see someone and you ask "How's it going?" You want to hear "Great" not their life story since the last time you saw them.

That post covered at least 5 years of living in The Villages.

I laughed so hard that I almost spilled my morning beer!

I was on my way to pick up the mail which is next to the doggie park. I see this young person walking a dog that just did it's business. The young whipper snapper simply walks away without picking up the evidence. I was so upset that these young people have no respect for our community I shouted out you must be 55 to live here. The young person flipped me the bird and I did an immedite U turn in my golf cart. I fell out of the cart because I forgot to put my seat belt on. I lie there on the ground and another golf cart almost runs me over. I was in district 4 where the MMPs are stripped and the driver refused to cross the line to get to the other lane. The Community Watch guy shows up and tells me not to move. I tell I'm alright but I obey his authority. I think he has authority. Well I had plenty of time to reflect on should I pay off my bond or will I loose my tax deduction - no conclusion. The EMT's finally arrived far over their usual 6 minute response time and were very apoligetic. They explained they were on a call to rescue a snowbird that fliped their car over in a roundabout. They wre trying to avoid a bicyclist that flipped them the bird for not giving three feet clearance. EMT's explained the good news for the birds was immedite entry to The Villages Hospital due to being transported in. Out of no where the police show up and drill me if I been drinking and driving my golf cart on a MMP. I said I only had one which I got at the square during happy hour. I explain I felt guilty passing the square without supporting The Developer for providing me such a great place to live. I also hear tell the developer may be in danger of not maximizing their profits. Well civic duty called. The LEO's stll made me walk the line. I passed the test - good thing cause I overheard them talking to each other did they really have jusistriction on a MMP. The dust has settled and I'm free to go. OH NO I just remember I have a tee time in 15 minutes - I'm already within the 20 minute rule. I put my cart to the boards. I must confess probably doing 22 mph but that's the risk I have to take. I know dam well if I get into an accident while speeding my insurance won't cover it. Dam the topedoes I'm late for golf. I get to Turtle Mound and there are no parking spots. Some ignorant inconsiderate person parked over the line taking up two spaces. Even though I'm late I stop and take a picture with my cell phone to send to "the other newspaper" tomorrow. I get to the starter shack window and this overly friendly man explains I lost my tee time and just earned myself three cancellation points. Dejected I leave. Back on the MMP I realize I have not eaten today. I wheel into one of the four one owner concession country club resturants for a bite. I forgot my customer loyalty card at home and had to pay full price for a drink. I order my meal and it took 1.2 hour to arrive and it was cold. I wanted to send it back but I read on TOTV never send food back to a kitchen. Do you know what they do to it in there? I get the manager (looks like 16 years old) to complain and to my surprise he apoligized and compted me dessert. Well I don't eat desserts so I pass. I leave quietly. I felt sorry for the owner because the place was so busy and they need to maximize profits during high season. I call it a night. I'm driving home and remember I started out to get the mail. I pull into the postal station and guess what I see. A person buckling a dog into the seat of their car while another inconsiderate renter is trying to run them down with her car in the adjacent parking spot.

Your turn.
Do you drive a white van and are a female with white hair and probably named ????

That's quite funny though. You forgot while you were reading Andrew Blechman's Leisureville borrowed from the Mark Twain volunteer library.

On another note. I do not believe this woman who almost ran me over was waiting for a come on through as my back was turned to her when she sped up after that stop as I was trying to get Beau into the car seat. I managed to get Beau in the seat, and slammed the door, and turned around while she was passing me a foot or so to my right with her car.

This person will probably be in the police blotter if she is not quite careful with her actions.
