It was a home in Belvedere. There is a thread about it and reassuring pictures of the owner on the online news. She wasn't harmed at all, Thank goodness.

Would be interesting to know where the hot spot was meaning where the fire started. I question the gas lines that are used in the homes. And the fact that there is relief valve put in the attic of the homes. The meters used ,at least in my area are high pressure meaning two pounds pressure if I remember right. Lightning can blow holes in the stainless gas lines and after that its over you can't stop the fire. Dont know if this home had gas service.

It was a courtyard villa in Belvedere. Around the corner from my home. Kudos to The Villages Insurance company, they had someone on site before the fire department was finished.

There has been considerable discussion about CSST gas pipe elsewhere on this site. Anyone interested in the subject should go to the Search tab and enter CSST.
