Default Villages Web Cam

I love looking at the web cams and noticed that they have changed the camera at Lake Sumter Landing so that we are able to see the dance floor area close-up. Love that! The one at Brownwood is allready like that and I really enjoy watching people dance on nights that I don't want to go out. Great job, Entertainment Dept!!

It is nice having the web cams. I always look for people I might know.

The LSL webcam placement is much better - thanks to those who made the improvement.

Would really be great if they could add sound so we could hear the entertainment.

Yes! But maybe they think that if they added sound, it would get enough people so exicited that they might run right down with their folding chairs and would take up the entire dancing area! {Just kidding! }

That is only a small part of what those cameras can do. I have played with similar security cameras in my working days and I had a ball. You could place a beer can on the steps at LSL and zoom in and read every word on the can as if it were in your hand right in front of you. These are not your run of the mill Best Buy web cams.

Default webcams

I think the 'live' pictures are quite grainy at the moment. The Lake Sumter one just seems to show a few foot of space near the stage and the stepsd up to it!
It was better when we could see more of what was going on, I think

I agree with you... Unfortunately, now, you can't see anything of the square, other than the dance floor. When there are no people there, it looks like a photo, rather than video...

Try these. Make sure the Video Format or Stream Profile is set to Motion JPEG. You may also have to install ActiveX to view so try Camera 2 (SS) first. You can also play around with the size by using the 2x and 4 x buttons but you lose some quality. Do not try using the zoom slide bars as it will ask you for a user name and password.

After you are able to view the cams just right click and create a desktop shortcut and they then can be accesses with just one mouse click.

Live view - AXIS 213 PTZ Network Camera

Live view - AXIS Q6032-E Network Camera

Live view - AXIS Q6035-E Network Camera

Have fun.

I wish they would clean the bird doo doo off the Brownwood camera lens. It is more apparent during the daytime.
