Smile Anyone from the State of Washington?

Hello all, I'm from Seattle, Wa and will be moving to TV next year when I retire. I visit often and have wondered if many Villagers have moved from the west coast. Any comments?
Soon to be Villager!

We're not from the west coast but have spent a lot of time there. We actually just got back from Seattle/Tacoma a few days ago. That was our first trip to Washington but have been to Oregon and California many times. It's beautiful out there but I don't like the rainy season much. So bring your sun screen and come on down!

We moved here from Port Orchard. Lived 20 years in Portland. Except for the mountains haven't missed it a bit.

Hi. We will be moving to The Villages. We live in Woodway in between Edmonds and Richmond Beach. When are you moving and where do you live!

Moved here in 2003 to Village of Chatham from Mill Creek, WA. First year took some getting used to the heat. After learning to drink lots of water, use plenty of sunscreen and stay in shade when ever possible, the summer heat is not nearly as bad. We love it here. Can't think of a better place to retire. Good luck on your move.

Hi! I live in Edmonds, I'm hoping to move next May, I can retire in January and want to wait to sell my home here in Edmonds in hopes of getting a bit more for it, how did you fall in love with the villages?

Hi. My husband and I want to invite you over for drinks. Where in Edmonds are you? You must live like 5 minutes fom us. I have lived in Eugene for undergrad, British Olympia for 26 years, Seattle for 9 1/2 years. Love the mountains and the ocean and the islands. Time for more sun, less car driving, easy access by golf cart to activities and fun, and a change of pace. Of course no where beats the scenery of the Pacific NW but sunshine and year round warmth is looking good. Every place has something to offer. The Villages is amazing. Private message me your phone number and email. Tell me where do you work or are you retired? And who does not love dinner on the Edmonds waterfront? We are looking forward to meeting you. Jane
