Has anyone painted their screened front entry or screened garage door? How long has it been approximately and did it hold up well?

I painted my black twice in 11 yrs. My neighbor on the street behind me painted his garage screen trim 5 yrs ago, still looks good. Len

I'm sorry I should have said I got my journeyman's card in 1966. But you are absolutely right the preparation is very important. The only reason I repainted mine twice was the sun faded the black. Len
