Default Saved by TOTV Again

We are learning, but please be patient.

We fell in love with the Villages and last year we made the move and purchased a CYV and passed papers in July. We came down in July for 2 weeks to set up our new home away from home. This was a resale property and a no lawn landscape. We put weed control down and contacted a home watch recommended by TOTV.

Had to go back up North, still working part time, and came back down in Sept. Went back up in Nov-Dec and back down Jan-April. Felt we did a good job preparing the area for weed control as we went North.

With all the rain it seemed the weed control did not work as advertised. At the end of June we got the letter from COMUNITY STANDARDS that our property was in violation! Our home watch people confirmed that the weeds had struck our non grass front. It seems someone had complained about 8 of the homes in our Villas Loop.

Thanks to TOTV we contacted a sponsor on this site and they took on the job. Had to wait a week, because of to much rain for weed control to work. Now the job is done and thanks to TOTV's and Chris we are on the good side of Standards Community.

We are learning, but it is a learning process to keep the property up yo our standards along with the community standards.

The TOTV has saved me in plumbing, appliance repair, golf cart repair, and living the good life the Villages.

Thanks heavens for good homewatch people that keep us aware of what's happening with our homes when we're absent.
And a thank you to all the great lawn/weed/landscaping people that keep our properties nicely groomed while we're away.

We had the same problem with our first CYV.
We quickly learned that in Florida, weeds grow on top of rocks!
I'm glad that you've found TOTV helpful.
We're all here to answer any questions you may have.

My first thought is .... why didn't your home watch let you know before it got so bad that Community Standards had to send you a letter?
Food for thought.

My thought exactly. Had a home watch service when I first bought here and was alerted ro dead fronds on some palm trees. The situation was resolved before any letter.

Thank you for the positive feedback and comments on TOTV. We also have a contractor/home improvement area where you can rate contractors and leave reviews as well.
