Strangely enough we were told by an elderly cashier at publix that the villages have their own generators and doesn't lose water pressure due to a storm. Confirm? Deny?

When we lived in Provincetown, our water system was gravity fed from the water towers. However, while pumps were needed to fill the tower, there were three towers at the time that could keep water in town for 3-5 days.
