Default Please help with new builder-installed appliances!

We are now 2 for 2 with our new appliances not working in our 4-day old home in TV! Is this normal?

Does anyone with a single wall oven have one that sounds like a jet engine taking off and make a howling noise? This can wait to be fixed, but the dishwasher could not.

Thanks.

oh no, we close in 2 weeks, this is not making me too happy. Good luck, I hope they take care of it ASAP. You are in Fernandina?

Call warranty. They will fix it or replace it. Not to worry. I love my appliances. Closed last September.

Hi all -
Which Warranty dept. is the one to call? I did call the Warranty dept., for both TV and Whirlpool, and got the run-around from both (see another post from earlier today). I persisted in getting a new dishwasher today -- vs. next week.
We got the Whirlpool Gold package for fridge, d/w, and cooktop. We will call TV Warranty dept. first thing tomorrow morning about the "jet engine" oven noise.
This is not a good way to start our first 4 days in TV!
Yes, we're in Fernandina. To "shalomuall" - will you be there, too? If so, where?

Do not mess with Whirlpool. The Villages has the power.

Is the noise you are hearing the fan? The fan works too with the convection oven . What do you mean "run around"....Did they say there should be SOME noise? Built ins have to have a fan.

They have responded in 24 hours to anything that I needed from warranty.

Default Problems with our frig ...

We too have had issues with our Whirlpool Gold refrigerator. The first one which was installed was taken out the day before we closed since it would not work. Then came the new one. We have had Fields Appliance Service here three times so far for that one. And just so everyone is aware ... I was informed that when Whirlpool sends out a letter at the end of the first year to purchase an extended service contract (which I never do anyway) but all appliances purchased through The Villages have an extra 1 year warranty from the developer. So ... don't go and pay for that 1 year service after the first year, you'll be throwing your money away for no reason.

PandG, we bought a lot in Fernandina. What section and lot number are you?

We have a Whirlpool double built in oven in our current house in Michigan and the fan noise is horrible. Long after we are done cooking the fan stays on until the oven is cool.
I don't want the same thing when we choose appliances for our house in the Villages!

Where does this information come from. I emailed the warranty department this week as we had to replace our GE refrigerator and it is less than 2 years old

That's why they changed to whirlpool. 2 yr warranty, GE would not provide this service.
