Thank God I wasn’t there at the time, but this was definitely worse than screaming.

Honestly.....I did not need to read about this tragedy.

I took that comment to be "tongue in cheek". No?

Partially agree.

Sorry, but respectfully disagree with your sentiment. This guy was screaming AT someone, using profane language. That does not fly in my book, especially when in a public place. Gotta scream? Do it in your bathroom!

While, under normal circumstances I agree with you, there could be extenuating circumstances. After reading this far I am beginning to think no one knows exactly what really was going on. Just comments, opinions or jokes. I have witnessed occasions when a person with Tourette syndrome or a developmental disability has acted out for some reason. If you were there and actually witnessed the outburst then I bow to your greater knowledge of this unfortunate situation.

I could site many examples but for instance, do you want someone picking you a package of sour grapes, too ripe of bananas, a fatty piece of beef, or a gallon of milk from the front with a best buy date about to expire? My life is not so busy that I cannot enjoy the process of choosing my foods. (Used to work on farms and in markets in my distant younger days) I saw things happening to extend food life that keep me alert.

Gee, I'd appreciate it if you would not handle my produce. I am sure you are 'feeling & tasting' without gloves or possibly a mask. In this pandemic time, you are being extremely inconsiderate of your fellow man.

When you order your food someone else is picking it out. I go to the store and don't where a mask. Life is to short to live afraid of everything. Besides I planted my own zucchini, squash and cucumber plants. Just the picked to the first zucchini the other day and having it for supper tonight.

Sorry , I forgot to mention that I spent 5 yrs in prison for tasting a grape. I wonder why they package the grapes in open bags?

The packaging is simply to keep the grapes from getting soggy.

As for the 5yrs in the pen, you obviously had a lousy lawyer . Poor You

I also asked for Clorox wipes, I received 2 small jugs of Clorox bleach. The person who did my shopping did communicate with me and even text photos to me, but I want to pick out my own produce and meat.

I am having the same issues with Instacart for Colony Publix. The last 2 shoppers did not ask for my approval on a replacement. They are supposed to text you for your approval. They just bought the replacement. Won't bore you with all the errors. I'll just give anexample. Asked for Ghiradelli 72% chocolate squares. He brought 92% which is inedible. Tastes like chalk. Bought Almond milk with high sugar. Not the unsweetened that I ordered. I am diabetic. Thinsliced bread instead of regular sliced. Instacart had to make a refund for all of the above. Time consuming emails back and forth with Instacart to achieve refunds. Also every item is more expensive than in the store. There is a delivery charge. There is a charge for the shopper's tip.

Some confrontations are inevitable as the paranoid want you to be like them.

Another misinformed <sigh>

I like to do my own grocery shopping. I enjoy looking at new products. I don’t think foodies and folk who really enjoy cooking order their groceries. If you can’t handle the roller coaster that life is, just hunker down at home. No muss, no fuss❗️

I was in the store but not near the commotion. The guy was so loud, I'm sure he could be heard from all four corners of the store. He was THAT loud.

Got to handle the produce. That is why I shop in person. I want to see all sides of the apples, peppers and what ever else I'm buying. I don't purchase bruised fruit or vegetables and many times the bruises are not visible until you turn them over.

WASH the produce when you get home. I mean really really wash them. I used to rinse these things with water and call it a day. Since this pandemic, I wash the produce with Dawn and rinse really well. How can you not? Are you going to assume those fruits and veggies have not been handled by others? I think not!

When someone wears a mask it is not because they are afraid. Someone wears a mask to protect others. No one knows if they are an asymptomatic carrier. That is why when a person wears a mask, they are preventing their droplets from getting into the air, even when they talk. I don't wear a mask to protect myself. I wear a mask to protect you!

Take look at this quick video which easily demonstrates how droplets are blocked when a mask is worn. Just think of every one of those droplets carrying the virus. Here is the video.............
