DH and I go to Brownwood quite a lot. I have never seen any seats saved before a performance, not in the stadium or in the chairs. Saving while dancing, or refreshing drinks, yes.

I wasn't really gonna do it, Richard.

The more I know about people, the better I like dogs.

I think Gracie and her Super-Soaker All Girl Posse stationed in between the audience and the stage would be the perfect answer!

Dogs are nice, but your cats are the best!

Why don't they just put the chairs out 1/2 hr before the entertainment starts to try and eliminate this.

IMHO, the best solution proposed so far; fair to all.

I am wondering what is going through his mind right now. Perhaps he thought it was fine to save seats, even allowed, encouraged? He couldn't think it was fine to take someone's wrist to pull them out of the seat and on purpose or accidently tromp on their foot. Does he push people around at home?

I am wondering what his wife is thinking? If they will continue to go to neighborhood functions and golf groups acting as if it is no big deal.

I wonder if the people who used to work for him or with him would be surprised.....or not?

I wonder if he is surprised and angry at all of the negative comments on here and on the online news or whether he thinks he is still right, screw all of us ?

Gracie : Sadly and most likely his poor wife was forced to give up thinking for herself a few decades ago .

There would have to be a great deal of life insurance involved to act as her incentive !

I wonder if he would have grabbed a man by the arm? I doubt it.

Jima64 06-05-2016 04:30 PM

That would really be his worst mistake, grabbing mine or my wifes arm; I'm surprised that NO MAN came to her defense.

Is that a shootable offense?

He was saving seats for his friends, with the assumption, he still has friends.

I wonder, which friend bailed him out? :D

For some people this old saying applies, "if you need a friend, just try and find one!!!

First hats off to you for your fine posting and reminding everyone what happened to this lady. Now then..

The victim in this case her family, friends , and neighbors need to rally around her and encourage her to do the following.

Contact a first class lawyer who has a proven track record in filling a lawsuit against individuals like this man.

He needs to learn a lesson...jail time unlikely..community service again unlikely..probation..most likely...

But the real lesson he needs to learn and the only way is from his Wallet..yes indeed...that's where it will really Hurt.

If any of the above know the victim please encourage her to contact a 1st Class lawyer....now. :plane:

Maybe his community service will be setting up chairs in all three Town Squares! I'm so sorry for the victim! I hope this doesn't break her spirit.
