Seems the harder I try to "conserve" and save $$ the more I end up spending. Can anyone please explain to me what "now" all these "new" cost are....?
Electric Charge.... (( I understand )) Power Cost adjustment...(( Is this what the energy saving box I had installed that is supposed to "conserve electricity" late at night? "Connect Fee?" .... I have never changed, disconnected service "Membership Applied? ......What membership? 2.5625% Gross RCT TA ?.......Have no clue what this is? Seems like nickel and dimeing 100,000 people can make "someone" rich!! |

We average about $110 a month for our electric, which includes heating (no natural gas in our condo) and the usual electric stuff. How does that compare with the average home in The Villages? Just curious. We'll be renting for three months in January-March 2015 on Rainbow Drive off No. 5 green of Silver Lake Country Club.

I would suggest you contact SECO business office and get it right from the horses mouth. As for 100K residents SECO is NOT the supplier to the north side of TV. It's also a Co Op and is cheaper then Duke energy. Consider this in your bill heat, AC, hot water, stove, dryer etc. I feel it's pretty cheap considering all that runs off of electric in your house.

Call them. SECO is easy to deal with. Had a problem when I thought my meter was not working correctly (bill was 3 times normal) - they came out, checked meter and credited me the overcharges. Never had that cooperation with a utility company before. Did not even have to raise my voice or threaten them.

I explained that "this" Villa had been sold 2 years ago but she said that I "neglected" to cancel the "Keep Power On" agreement. As furious as I am I'll pay the Bill but told her I don't think it's right since I no longer own this property but maybe....? .....maybe it is my fault as they (SECO) must have thought I had it rented... who knows but I am learning MORE THAN ONCE.....to cover yourself in ANYTHING!!! ![]() Tried contacting the "owner" .....but that's more trouble than it's worth !! so the moral to this story is not to just pay off your FINAL bill but to "Make Sure" all utilities are Disconnected and OUT of your name! I am thrilled to only see an average bill under $125 for my total electric home!! I was paying almost 3 times that in St. Louis for a similar size house! Keep it up SECO!!!
