To better understand the differences between temporary resident ID and guest passes, see the infographic at

Yes. You have to give them your resident pass and then pay 50 for a residents pass up to 2 people. The sales office in your town square can help you. You could also get just a guest pass but that doesn’t include everything but it’s free.

Default Stop by a Sales office

I work for Properties of the Villages in the Brownwood Sales office. To get the most accurate answers to your questions about guest ID's, please stop by one of our Sales and Information centers in Spanish Springs, Lake Sumter or Brownwood. We will gladly guide you through the process with the correct answers.

Ask yourself this question: Do you want to be that neighbor, who just gives free access of the house and all the amenities to friends and family in a residential (not resort, not vacation, not time-share) community, without you even being there?
Good answer, OBB!
Being a situation of "free" would be painful for the entire street. GUARANTEED. I believe the owner would live to regret it too.

We had a house we allowed family to use. Never again.

Why would that be painful to others on the street? Doesn't seem like it has anything to do with them.

As to the "free" aspect. Its only free to your guests (if you so choose). Amenity fees on the residence still are paid. In fact an extra $50 must be paid to switch the IDs.

Renting and/or lending out a home is risky business because damage does occur. Even if you collect rent it typically barely covers carrying costs including cleaning and repairs. But that is a separate matter.

They should be advised they will have to pay a guest rate when they play.

I can't speak for others, but if my guests (usually family) do anything requiring a fee, I let them know the cost.

$50 is only for the non-resident ID. Guest passes are free.

. Simple response to your question…YES. You can get a Guest Pass. Or if you pay $50 … you can get a temporary resident ID. Then they can book their own tee times and purchase a golf Trail Pass
