I attempted to call for 4 hours I then heard that that number was no longer available, someone please tell when to call who to call so that I can get in line. If this were a business and they did business in this manner they would be out of business.

Actually no, any business who can sell a few thousand units of product sell completely out of stock within a few hours on opening day, is pretty successful.

This is what happens when the federal government leaves coordination of a national implementation up to individual states, some of which have absolutely no plan, even though they knew they'd need one months ago, and then the states leave the implementation up to the towns/counties, knowing that the towns/counties lack the ability to make those kinds of plans without state and federal support.

The Villages Health Care doesn't know when or if they will get the vaccines to distribute.

There is no excuse for anyone to publish a phone number knowing full well that they cannot handle the incoming calls, and that almost all of the callers will get a busy signal. They are wasting people's time. The county managers who set this up should be fired.

While I agree 100% you can't completely blame them. This whole rollout (the last mile from delivery into the arm) countrywide has been a mess. In a situation like this there needs to be a lot more coordination from the feds other than saying "here's your vaccine now go stick 'em in arms, good luck." No, the feds shouldn't and can't be sending doctors but they should help with the recruiting nationwide of those who are capable of giving the vaccines as suggested by Mitt Romney like retired docs, retired nurses, retired pharmacists, veterinarians, med students those who are currently not providing front line service. Hopefully, God willing, things will improve in the next few weeks.

When the government sends free help, it will go smoothly. Until then dragging your feet gives them an opportunity to show help is needed

It isn't like getting the vaccine is a surprise...states and counties should have been planning this for several months so they would be prepared. Put the distribution into the hands of the private sector and it would likely go much smoother...

Food companies and newspaper companies deliver millions of fresh items to thousands of grocery stores or private homes on a daily basis.
Not usually a long wait to pick up milk or bread, or to go out front to pick up newspaper.

We all love big government

they had an online registration this morning that opened at 8:00. They are using the eventbrite platform. All available times were gone within minutes. I am hoping they do this again soon. The online process did work much better than the phone line.

I agree. I *almost* was able to get a tix at 8:08, but then it was gone. BUT, better than sitting in a car in line at a “first come, first served”.

last night i saw a story on how the vax was being offered by Publix, in selected areas. IF this is true & turns out to be a success, i wager drug chains like cvs/walgreens will soon be in line to do the same. i'm pretty sure i saw it on 6 Orlando. i REALLY hope you guys can get this, am wishing you good luck, oxo
