Default shooting range?
We live in the village of Charlotte .... for several hours there were gun shots, is there a range near here? It sounded like it did back home up north when deer season opened.

I know that there is some shooting on private property that abuts the villages.

On route 44 headed towards Leesburg there is an indoor range on the right hand side.

Dove season opened last week, lots of open fields with tall grass around.

Could it have been the military practice in the Ocala Forest? You can hear the bombing blasts here in The Villages.
