Default Should I drop a dime?

There is a home owner who rents a house on my street.

He has a huge olive drab tailer with a tarp over it & he has "FOR SALE" signs on the tarp/

And, he has a blatant re "For Rent " sign in the front window of his property.

It is the tackiest thing I have ever seen in the villages & I believe its against community standards.

Yes. Call Community Standards. The owner needs to be put on notice that the standards apply to him/her too. People like this are not going to care about the quality of their renters and the violations could get worse.

The for rent sign could be legal depending on size. The Trailer I'm not sure about. The county sheriff's office should be able to tell you if you call. I assume it's a county owned street.

Read your copy of the deed restrictions or call Community Standards.

I think Community Standards is impotent and therefore I advocate for mobs with pitchforks and torches. If called, I shall serve.

Why do you think that.

I agree. All that stuff and yard art devalues the whole place. One of the reasons we chose this place is because of deed restrictions. We lived under deed restrictions for many years and it helps hold the value of your investment.

When you have accomplished that task
Go to the town squares and unreserve all the seats

I don't think the for sale signs or the for rent sign is against restrictions. Maybe the trailer. But if it's in the driveway, the sheriff's dept would have no authority.

Those who advocate that deed restrictions have kept up property values seem to miss the fact that the most important deed restriction was omitted...one that states no rentals are allowed except to family members.

But such a restriction would lower the esteemed and beloved developers ability to sell homes.
