Does anyone know if the Villages has ever considered turning the radio music off from 5-9 while the bands are playing. Don’t see the need for the speakers to be on while we are trying to listen to the bands.

If I'm not mistaken, the radio is being played over the PA system that is used by the bands. When the bands are playing the radio is shut off on those speakers. The speakers on the streets surrounding the square still have the radio on.

Which is an absolutely brilliant move on their part. They play great music appropriate for the demographic and get free advertising. I love WVLG. Whatever station you listen to, you're going to hear ads. I could care less if they're for open houses here in The Villages or for Medicare Advantage plans and reverse mortgages that play on television.

Plus the often have good information on event going on here in The Villages.
