Default Silver Lake executive golf

Played the "new improved course" today. Tee boxes, greens same as before.
Holes 8 & 9 tee boxes had realigned cart path for short distances.
A couple of new bird houses and lots of planting were the only noticeable changes.
Expanded sand areas on two holes. Was the upgrade half a million or so?

Is it the same species of turf/grass? Is the irrigation system the exact same as before? How about the bunkers - same sand and type of bunker?

The problem with golf course renovations, many of the improvement aren’t obvious.
Turf research is a booming business - just changing the species can result in faster recovery times for the turf.
