Interesting you should ask. In the next three or four days, we will be welcoming a new sponsor to Talk of The Villages who sells such furniture.

I hope the new sponsor has better prices than we have found in Florida. We bought and transported our outdoor furniture from Ohio.

HOWEVER. Lowes and Home Depot have a nice selection there in TV. (There is another Lowes in nearby Leesburg and sometimes they have different items there too)

Default Lanai furniture

We got some very reasonably priced cane furniture from Dockside in a little shopping mall on the road down to Leesburg (just past the lights at Walmart). Make sure all the legs are level though. We bought a small cane table, two stools and two larger armchairs for the small lanai from Dockside.

For the larger area we bought a large metal table, chairs, lounger and parasol which we ordered on line from Target.

We found a place in Homasassa called It's a Shore Thing (1914 S Suncoast Blvd) that we plan on buying our breakfast nook furniture from. They carry lanai furniture as well. It's a bit of a drive, but their prices for the identical products were better than what we could find in the immediate TV area and the owners (a husband/wife team) were great to deal with. An example: as we were leaving the store (having not yet bought anything from them) my wife admired a candle with a seashore motif. They saw that she liked it and just gave it to us.

Default Wicker

We purchase some decent fake wicker furniture at Sears, and augmented it with some almost matching end tables from Target.

Found a great selection of wicker and other styles at Porters (north of the villages on 441). Supplies tend to be smaller in summer as their shipments arrived in the spring.

We wound up buying our wicker for the lanai at Pier One Imports in Spanish Springs. We watched the ads in the paper and got it on sale... But mainly chose it because we liked the look better than anything else we saw.

Because the lanai is my territory to maintain I wanted light weight and rust proof. Got a nice aluminum set, table and four chairs, at Publix.
Found two "slider" chairs at a store opposite Walmart on 27/441. Not cheap but better than some of the competition.
Looked at some at the casual store on 27/441 in Fuitland Park. Great selection but too pricey for us.
Porters seems pricey too but they have a great selection. We were not interested in wicker as it is too "bulky" for our lanai.
Keep in mind lanais gather a lot of dirt unless enclosed. This is especially true if you live any where near new construction. We live way north of 466 and still get a lot of air borne dirt.

Very good point about dirt. You are better having faux wicker that doesn't have holes.

Publix has some great outdoor furniture from time to time. I saw some very cute BRIGHT colored Anaconda type chairs a couple months ago, very nice price, but quickly gone. Neighbors got an excellent glass topped table and chairs for a good price there too.

Porters has beautiful stuff, but expensive I think. And....I didn't like being followed around, like in some northern furniture stores. I hate when that happens.

Just a small word of caution (which shouldn't need to be said, but . . .):

Make sure you measure your lanai carefully, then measure your desired furniture! I impulsively bought a good-looking dining table and six-chair set, but found the chairs, especially, were too big to pull out from the table to sit without being a contortionist! I finally slightly re-oriented the table, and put only 4 chairs at it, but it's still not really right.

And, it defeated the purpose of being able to seat six - which is important when I have guests!

After 40-plus years of not having anything even remotely resembling a lanai, I was so excited to have one. Ah, well, live and learn!

I so agree Gracie! At times salespeople can be overly-helpful which usually chases me right out of the store in a big hurry with NO purchase.

Some people just need time to look and think and think & look without anyone in your face!

If you dont mind slightly used lanai furniture, I have seen some beautiful lanai furniture at Bargains and Treasures.

Talk host,

We purchased some "fake" wicker furniture at Wicker World in Leesburg. A huge store full of all kinds of wicker pieces at extremely reasonable prices!

Default Palm Casual

My wife and I bought our stuff from Palm Casual in Orlando about 10 years ago. We still have it and it still looks like new. We had to have one seat cushion redone and it was no charge.
Otherwise it has sat outside, inside, in the garage, in storage, on an open patio and now in the screen room. It only needs an occasional wash down. But it just like new.

Neat bumper sticker. Went like this: "It's God's job to judge terrorists. Our job is to arrange the meeting!"

Be a gentleman, remove your hat/cap when entering a building and dining out!
