Are you sure about 110th Street Grill closing or is this just another rumor. Please substantiate your post and your source. Thx, Jimmie

TomOB, I don't know you, or even of you, so don't know whether you spread rumors or not. It is always helpful when making a declaration the your source be made know. Not looking for a discussion here just trying to find out the facts. Thx, Jimmie

P.S. One of my favs so I am disappointed.
P.S.S. Google search early this AM did not turn up anything - perhaps looking in the wrong place.

Default 110th Street Grill

I went to the 110th Street Grill yesterday and the sign on the door said "The 110th Street Grill is closed. Thank you for your patronage"

Its tough for small businesses to survive in the Villages, I have seen dozens close over the years, they just can't afford the extreme costs of doing business with the developer.

I believe the 110th street Grill was owned by the owners of Glenview Country Club. Same Prime Rib Specials on Thursdays. Same burger specials etc. My favorite server from Glenview transferred there to work because it was closer to her home.

I will miss it. Good place to go to avoid the crowds during the high season. It has been open for many years. I can't imagine what happened.

Isn't it located in Belleview, FL?

There it goes again....blame the developer!!! I may be wrong but don't think it is villages property.

Went by there last Monday at noon and only 1 car in parking lot, I thought it was strange. We went last Friday and yes there was a closed sign on the door. Sad this was a great place and always packed, hope they reopen even bigger and better.

If the food is fresh, good and priced right , and if the place is CLEAN, the people will come. However, the owner may have borrowed too much money, is not there to watch employees, his inventory and cash register, it will fail. I am not saying this is the case at this restaurant. But there are other reasons for failure. And the landlord is not Santa, he needs his rent, so don't blame him.
