Default Smoke Detector Replacements

I would like to replace all of my smoke detectors in my house. I would like to be able to identify a detector by sight if the battery gets low. That little beeb makes you search everywhere for it. Does anyone have any suggestions.
Thanks

Yes I have a suggestion. Go to Ace Hardware and get the new smoke detectors if you really need them. If your smoke detectors are over eight years old you need to replace them. Then every six months call the nonemergency fire department number after you have purchased enough batteries to replace every smoke detector battery including carbon monoxide detector. That way you don't have to worry about which one is beeping. The fire department does this free of charge but you have to call first thing in the morning and they will be there sometime that day. They will give you an idea of what time they will be there. That is a wonderful benefit that are fire department provides here.

That's a great thing that they do.

Do I have to provide the step-ladder for the firemen that will change the batteries or do they bring one?

I got all our new smoke doctors on Amazon with free prime shipping. If I don't have to go out and drive on 441/27, I don't.

You supply stepladder and batteries. They really do prefer that we call them. Beats having to show up cause you fell.
