Any suggestions for a good, reliable and reasonably priced person to descale my tankless water heater?

If you want someone else to do it I hear Kiley and Sons are a good plumbing outfit. I would imagine most handymen could also handle it.

Andy’s Descaling Service (Andy Twiss) 508-726-5257. He lives in The Villages. He flushed our this summer and did a great job. It took about an hour and I think he charged $60.

Do all hot water heaters need to be descaled or just the tankless kind?

Most people don't do any maintenance on a tank type water heater. You can flush out a tank type water heater, but there is always a risk that you will create a leak in the drain valve. The Rheem manual "suggests" that you drain a small amount of water every month or so but doesn't recommend a complete flushing. I have never done any maintenance on a tank water heater, but some people do.
