Default Solar Panel Companies

I've noticed a number of Solar panel roofs in the villages for electricity. I was interested in recommendations for any for the top companies or those you wouldn't use.. I have read about Solar Bear in Florida? Any input from the forum would be appreciated.

Do your research. Payback to break even is in the 17 year period. I guarantee that in that period of time, you'll need a new roof (so plan on paying to remove the solar system and reinstall it), and some of the hardware will fail.

Payback is way too long when that amount of money can be invested for a very good profit.

I agree with above, Florida is NOT one of the states to invest in solar. Under NLO circumstances sign any kind of NO cost contract, they install on your house but YOU DO NOT OWN THESE, they take a lien against your house and if you try to sell your house the new buyer is FORCED to take of the contract. You have been warned....

Some of the ‘solar panels’ you see may be to heat the pool water, not power the house.

Energy rates here are fairly low. The payback period hardly seems worthwhile
