We need to distinguish between the initial capital improvement for the facilties: water, sewer, drainage, roads, clubhouses, parks, etc. VERSUS the ongoing operations and maintenance.

I'm guessing the bond is for the intial construction of the capital facilities and the fees are for the operations and maintenance. Can someone confirm this?

bonds are not for the amenties (pools, clubhouses, etc), bonds are for streets, sewer, firehouses and police depts and city infrastructure

The main point I was trying to make or clarify is the purpose of the amenities fee as distinct from the bond.

Does the amenities fee pay for both the capital costs of the amenities as well as operations and maintenance?

My husband and I have stayed in TV for the 5 night visitor package and Solivita with friends who live there. We are split on the best place to buy. The square foot cost of a previously owned home in TV is more than Solivita. I have been tracking them for months. Solivita offers many homes in the 2000-23000 square feet range for the same price as designer homes in TV, which seem to max at the 2000 sq foot size. While golf is not free in Solivita, it is not free in TV unless you are happy playing only 9 hole courses and own a golf cart. I am very concerned about golf availability in TV, wait time at restaurants, and general traffic congestion during the winter months. We are visiting both places again this winter and hopefully can come to a mutual decision then.
