Bought my home 6 years ago way before I could retire, I've lived each day waiting for my next vacation time to enjoy my home..I am now ready to retire on Dec 2nd to become a full time VILLAGER...and cant wait.
People are now so tired of hearing me talk about TV but many have gone to see for themselves and like myself have purchased their home immediately. Took me all of 3 days to decide this is where I want to spend the new chapter of my life..
No one can beleive it until they see it themselves..If they dont get to see it..Their loss...

Even some friends from Hotlanta asked us if we were sure we wanted to live in Florida in the summer. Now that's funny. Most days this summer, it has been hotter in Atlanta than in TV.

On the other hand, friends who have visited us here are all in awe of the place. Some even planning to move here now that they've seen it for themselves.

TV is like a box of chocolates. A mere description will never do it justice. Tasting, on the other hand, is believing.

From one Laura to another Laura, Congrats on your upcoming retirement and becoming a Frog. You now have less than 4 months! Wish it was me.

You guys are all great and now a reality check just came in. Because of you that is why I wanted to move to TV

I am ashamed to admit I got caught up in all the IRS posting going around and it put me in a really bad mood about moving there.

I had that Jaws Shark Music playing in my head and flashback to Time Share NightMares that I am still getting theraphy for.

SO I'm coming down they are placing stickers for the house sale on all the stuff I have to get rid of,

A Villager told me before I left this July. Herv it's easier to travel with a check book that a Van full of Crap that dosent fit in here. I had to laugh.

Once again Thank You All for your positives that have picked me up, If the IRS sues TV they can wait for the check or give me free room and board in a padded Cell LOL

Well off to do what I hate worse than shoveling. Mowing 1.5 acres again and again and and again and again. $4.30 for Diesel and it burns it well. Love those small village lots.

The Snowblower just left with a happy customer. Poor Guy he likes the cold-- Yea Right

Wow I gave up even telling anyone. I think we are very lucky and have found a great place to live. I have had nothing but positive's after visiting TV for the last three years. From sales staff, villagers local business the banks.

Maybe upstate NY taxes grey sky and annual 200 inchs of snow make us miserable? LOL

Did any of you get the same flack we are. Just curious!

Herv - in December or January when you are in your golf cart buzzing around the Villages, (playing golf, pickleball, swimming, dancing in the square) and they are holed up in their caves waiting for spring, ask THEM who is in God's waiting room hmmmm!

You are going to miss Doug's Fish Fry, Rosalie's, Lasca's, Wegman's great produce and apple season with its breathtaking fall colors . The aroma of grapes permeating the air as they are being harvested to make wine in September ....and white hots

All the kids and relatives that have moved out of the Syracuse say the same thing. I have to send my sister and my daughter Heides care packages on dry ice. If We could open a Doug's Fish Fry or a Quaker Steak and Lube in TV we would be RICH! Florida deos not understand a Buffalo Chicken Wing.

I figure I can start a Fall Heides Cookout in my neighborhood invite all you guys and the rest will become an annual event. Many in the country have no idea what a Hoffman Coney is!

Yes I will miss then , but thats what the Harley is for. I need a excuse for a early Fall road trip. Lake Placid in the Fall! Here I come.

You must have a better QS&L than the one we have here in central OH. Their wings used to be pretty good sized.........and then they must've stopped feeding the chickens! Hardly anything to them the last few times we've been there. Still tasty, though.

Sandy and I plan to try to track down some good wings when we get back to TV next month!

BigLew, I'm praying for a "mild" winter this year for the Chicago area.
