Re: Someone else opinion
"Wormanship"
This reminds me of the specially trained chickens during the revolutionary war.* There was a special unit of revolutionary soldiers who trained chickens to identify where the English soldiers were hiding in certain villages by pecking on the front door where they were holed up.* Historians haven't discoved exactly how the chickens knew.* They suspect it was some sort of sixth sense, but 9 times out of 10 the Englishman would be identified and captured.* The name of this special unit was finally rediscovered by an Italian historian. This special unit was called ChickenCatchaTorre.

I saw this post too on another site. It was written this past summer (not by Efrahin) This guy was a jerk to make comments like that. If the house was sooo bad, maybe he should be thinking of moving his parents out of TV. I have to chuckle sometimes when I read these negative remarks. No one is holding a gun to anyone's head to stay!! By the way, Curry was also on that thread adding his/her 2 cents!!

Re: Someone else opinion
For what it is worth, we bought and moved into a Gardenia two years ago. I'm pretty handy and our problems have been very minor. During our warranty period, the Villages came out and repaired any issues immediatley...and we didn't have to call them often. We have the "Gardenia Crack in the Ceiling" but I fixed that myself and it hasn't opened again. We've had a few nail pops which I repaired. I suppose the most serious was the water line from the street to the house separated at the house allegedly because of the big, bad bougainvillia we have but, again, they came out immediately and made the repair (we had one day left on the warranty). Bottom line is that we are very satisfied with the quality of our home.

"Gardenia Crack in the Ceiling" Do Gardenia Cracks seem to occur more often on this particular model? |

Re: Someone else opinion
Gardenia crack: A substance which causes Gardenia's to do really hyper and strange things and die prematurely.

Re: Someone else opinion
In the Gardenia models, you can often find a crack in the master bedroom ceiling from the left corner up the seam..as you look at the bed (assuming it is between the two windows).
We had an experienced handyman working here and I asked him about the crack in the ceiling wallboard. He said it was not uncommon in the Gardenia model because of "the design"..something about the way the beams were tied together in the ceiling. I was able to repair it and it has not reopened. There are some people on our street who have experienced the same thing. I only am the messenger here....an experienced one.

Re: Someone else opinion
JT, Thanks for the reply. I didn't relate it to a model. Interesting.

Re: Someone else opinion
JT We have a Gardenia. What are some of the other issues you have had that I may want to be on the lookout for. Thanks

Re: Someone else opinion
same thing happens in Lantana master BR....we had it in far right corner to middle of ceiling; fixed under warranty....looks good as new.
Neighbor had extensive cracks in his lantana ceiling ...all fixed by warranty.
