Glad you like the north . I think the entire villages are beautiful . And I can enjoy any area just as you can. I chose south of 44 simply because I liked the subdivision and the house . Figured everyone should just buy what they want where they want . To me there is no area better than another , just opinions .
I don’t get this post at all . Congrats on living in the north part of villages ? |

I also wish there was a thumbs down option on TOTV.
I hope our neighbors south of 44 realize that most people are just living their lives, not heck-bent on doing a comparative analysis to challenge them or to apparently boast of their imaginary superior choices, no matter what the OP said. My heart hurts for anyone that may begin questioning what was their epic move from lands far away due to this type of post, some single folks who had it twice as hard during a move. We ALL KNOW how fun it was to move, with mega-logistics, let alone dealing with realators, inspections, utilities, address changes. To our stones-throw away southern neighbors, I know you certainly must feel assurred that you have made the right choice. After all, you have a lovely, newer home and are a Villager and share our good/bad, and are breathing today. For that, we can be grateful, right♡ If I could magically STOP one thing from occurring here on this site, it would be to çurtail the "innocent" posts on the north/south topic. Worn thin. |

You’ll never hear me bashing north or south of 44 - I love it all! I’m still getting to know the north end - Friday went to Lopez Legacy for dinner for first time - very good, and then over to the Savannah to see Dreamgirls.
I’m glad to have access to all that currently is TV, and very excited about what is to come in the years ahead of us. When I bought last December, I strategically looked into an area that I thought would be “the middle” of TV in about 10-15 years from now, in order to have golf cart access to most of what will become TV. I think it’s great that we have many options where we want to live, so hopefully everyone gets what they want - if you are happy where you live, then I am truly happy for you. I have pledged not to get into a north vs south debate.

No reason to buy in one area and put down the rest.

Every single area has its pluses and minuses. I wish people would not be so defensive because I am very interested in what the folks south of 44(actually South of the Turnpike) like most about their neighborhood since I may end up there one day.
The benefits of living south of the turnpike are many. If you commute or travel frequently it has quicker access to the turnpike. It has the best outdoor amenities(my opinion) not the least of which is the pedestrian path. The floorplans are significantly better than the older sections and the average age is younger. Of course no Town Square but that is coming. There are probably plenty more. But the one thing that would irritate me is the lack of convenience stores with fuel. I just don't understand why the developers did not build more. If I am wrong about this please enlighten me. Last edited by ithos; 08-20-2023 at 08:22 AM. |

Then you've never been there. In the fifteen years I lived in my Airstream, and traveled around the USA, I literally saw it all. I pulled it to every state except Alaska and Hawaii. I've been in every major city and I was blown away by Kansas City.
To me, it is the most beautiful city in the United States. It is second in the world to Paris for boulevards. Second to Rome for statues and fountains. There's a park, in the city, that's double the size of Central Park in NYC. Just driving around the city you see beautiful neighborhoods and homes. Who knew?
