Default todays rainfall

For all of the people that are out of town back up north, yes its raining here in the villages this afternoon. It poured real good for over an hour so far. These afternoon showers are getting to be a daily thing. Its the rain season and this is normal. Todays rain will put my house in santo domingo over six inches for june . I had five and 3//4 inches so far for the month before todays showers. Its still raining now but my guess is i probably got around a half inch today. That would give me six and 1/4 inch for the month. Just thought some of you that are out of town would like to know. My irrigation has been turned OFF for a couple of weeks now.

I am in Seattle. It is only newsworthy when we have sun.

Today will be sunny and in the 70's. The weather gets even warmer over the next week. Great weather to enjoy at Castle Island in Boston.

Thanks Tom, I hope my water bill goes down and my sprinkler system shuts down since I'm not there, yet, to monitor it. Do you know if the Village of Sanibel got some good soaking?

Sorry but the only area of rainfall that i know for sure is santo domingo where i live. Yesterday the 14th i ended up getting an inch exactly which gives me six and 3/4 inches for the month of june. I just checked the radar and there is another big batch of rain moving inland from the gulf and headin right for the villages if it holds together . If we get more measurable rain today ill post the info after it quits and i dump my rain gauge.

Thanks Tom for rain update. When I left the there in April it was pretty dry with water usage rules in place. We can use the rain.

Thanks again,

Bob from Village of Buttonwood and Maine

Thanks so much. Being "Up North" is difficult, when we want to be there.
