This is NOT a political post. I'm not telling you who to vote for. This is for informational purposes only, because I've discovered some people in my district didn't even realize there's an election coming up until I mentioned it.

Several hundred Villagers live in District 6, or have friends and/or family who live in District 6. There is now an open seat in Congress, vacated when Michael Waltz left to work in the trump administration cabinet. The primaries for this district were held last month, and the special election will be held April 1.

The parts of The Villages in District 6 are mostly the Historic section, Marion county, and the Spanish Springs area down by Chula Vista. If you live near these areas and don't know if you're in the district or not, you can check here and check your vote by mail status at the same time:
