We finally got moved in and while I keep saying I'm not going to overbook myself, find myself signing up for this event, golf outing, lunch, card game, etc.
Do you find you book yourself too tight? Or is this a newbie thing? ![]()

There are stages you go through when you finally move to TV. Euphoria, exhaustion from shopping for house stuff and getting contractor estimates, more euphoria, trying to jam every activity and club into the first three months, pride in showing your new home and TV off to visitors, more exhaustion and euphoria. After three months I was so burned out I had to take a little sabbatical and decide on some priorities.
After a while it strikes you that this isn't a vacation, it's your new life. And then I think everything falls into perspective. Enjoy the first months in TV, it's just like falling in love! ![]() Love this post Barefoot.

It is easy to overbook, isn't it...
![]() Barefoot said it so well...you go full force when you first get here, you soon discover that it's exhausting and then you realize that this is your new life, you're living here, not visiting and you don't have to cram so much into your day. Take a break, relax, enjoy peace and quiet every once in a while...and congratulations on getting moved in...it's quite a job! |

We will be here two years May 20th. I was trying to do so much that it started feeling like I was working again! I have slowly dropped some of my weekly activities but kept a couple I really love. Now I can be a little more spontaneous and relaxed!

Your thawing me out. One freezing cold ride from Syr. To Va tonight.
There were flakes in the air in the mts and one stupid flake on the bike. Hope I hit warm tomorrow. Good question Angie - helpful replies all. My wife Ruth is afraid she will be bored when we move in. |

Trish Btw..years ago, when everyone was into CB radios, we saw a guy riding his bike in very cold weather. My mom had her CB on and we heard a guy say "see the guy on the bike?? bet he's freezing his ba..s off..." a minute later we heard someone else say "I'm the guy on the bike and my ba..s are just fine"..thought it was a funny moment. Take care friend and be safe! |
