Question Sprinkler Valve

We are snowbirds and have had a problem (twice) with someone turning off the valve that controls the water to our sprinklers. I would guess that it's either the mowing or bug service. Has anyone else had this problem?

I plan to make sure that the timer is set to complete watering by 7:30 AM.

This past spring, I repaired several that had been frozen and broke the spool, If you weren't here when it was cold, maybe some neighbor turned it off so it wouldn't freeze! Seems like they might have turned it back on when it warmed on. Was it off all summer?

Default Valve

No, that wasn't the case. I remember being in the Villages during the Winter of 2010. Boy, that was a cold one!!!
