If your BMI is 29 or higher, you have larger worries than the flu... and have had for quite some time I'd quess.

If you have lost your crib notes from middle school, here are some conversation starters:

… why me? why us? we're not New York, except for pockets of rudeness
… I can't play golf? what am I going to do? Watch Tiger King?
… I bet the governor is still moving around. Why doesn't he isolate?
… if we just had Saint Andrew Cuomo running things, this wouldn't happen
… what about shopping? I'm down to my last 30 rolls of toilet paper
… does this mean I can't sit at City Fire and drink? go to Sumter looking to dance?
… will there be patrol squads, with truncheons and tear gas to beat down walkers?
… how soon will this rule be over? WEEKS????!!! Omuhgod
…. can I get a refund on amenity fees? I bet the Morse family is moving around
… this wouldn't have happened if HIllary were president
… I bet we can sneak out at midnight and they won't catch us!
… I never get colds; why can't I be an exception?
…. I had a flu shot four years ago; I'm immune
… it's a Trump conspiracy to control me; where's Saint Nancy? ACLU?
… my dogs Fluffy and Stuffy like a cart ride each day; is that allowed?
… who is this man (woman) in my house?
…. I hope the governor will pay for my booze in this lockup!!!

Ain't it the truth? I wholeheartedly agree, except my dogs are "SandyBunkers" and "DeepRuff".

No he doesn't

No license required to purchase gun in Florida. Background check is required if gun is purchased commercially. Person to person sales have some exceptions, as do gun shows. Need Concealed Carry permit to carry. Numerous other rules apply

Let's see, cardiorespiratory diseases?
Immunocompromised states?
Obesity?
DM?

Define obesity in the order. BMI>25?, >30?, >35?
Can someone with a BMI of 29.9 play but not someone with a BMI of 30.1?

Define DM the same way. Type 1 or type 2? Controlled or uncontrolled? Associated retinopathy, nephropathy, neuropathy or not? HbgA1C <6.0? 6.0-7.0? over 7.0?

Clearly some rocket scientist threw Obesity and DM on that list for God knows what reason, I doubt it was a medical doctor, and if so, not much thought went into it.

The people who should be staying at home first and foremost are those that could spread the virus----ie: recent contact with a known infected individual, recent travel abroad, escapees from NY, those with clear symptoms, and those poor people on the cruise ships.
The list above, with the exception of DM and "obesity" are people at higher risk to contract the virus.

But, once again, I applaud your effort to "poke the bear"

You can justify your desire to play golf with as many technicalities and experience that you can muster up. Fore the love of golf - go play. It's obvious nobody is going to stop you. Many people break the law and not all get caught. But they still are breaking the law. I remember my grand jury stint. DA says you may surly think the law should not apply in this particular instance however you must apply the law as it is written. If you don't like it is your option to try and change the law but no how do you have the right to break it.

come on this isn't THAT difficult....Anne Frank and her family did it for quite a long time

Folks, we ARE at war...think back to what our grandparents and parents gave up and went through during WWII to support the war effort

Have some fun with this unique time in our lives:
- create a cookbook of your favorite recipes for your family
- create a scrap book out of all the old pictures in a bag in the attic
- write down some of the stories you heard from your elders as a kid & pass them on
- learn a new language
- wash your windows
- power wash the outside of your house
- wash your car more often
- hand wash the dishes
-throw a CD on and dance with your partner around the living room
- start a journal
- order some seeds on line and plant an indoor garden to get them started

go give the grandkids something to talk about...what's the legacy Grampa and Grannie left us on how they dealt with "The Covid-19 Shut down"

All of us on in the Northeast still talk about where we were/what we did when we had the great blackout back in the 60's

go make some history

Thanks so much for your posting. I'm sick of reading stuff that spoiled idiots are putting on this method of communicating. it seems like the ol' 20/80 rule......20 % do all the work, thinking, creating, etc while 80% just complain and follow along. My "to do" list has just gotten so long now that we have this virus as I am trying to learn, find ways to hire individuals to do work for me on my rentals, do research, spend my time more efficiently, ......... Thanks for your posting. I fear too many have slipped into complacency and what it brings. Cheerio for now and remember Who is in control:)

So now, the real joke is on you. While type 2 DM runs in my family, I do not have it (at least not yet) I stretched the truth in that post to make a point, that people with type 2 DM are not necessarily immunocompromised---to allay the fears that another poster might have instilled in thousands of people Do you really think I would ever post personal health information on an open forum? Too many years of being HIPPA conscious made it an ingrained habit, besides, it's just dumb to do that anyway.

So as I said before-----"FORE!"

PS. I'm beginning to enjoy these back and forth barbs, keep them coming. Great entertainment, as long as you realize I'm not seriously attacking you.

You are right as usual, Indy. And it may be around for far longer than anyone dares say.

I'd be willing to bet that by the end of the year, for the most part, it'll just be a bad memory. Too many politicians are getting it and in all honesty, like hurricanes, the worse thing about it all is all the media attention.
Now the economy, that's going to be in the ER for awhile.
