And how do you think that big ole insurance policy Mr. Brown would be required to have, since he would be creating a public road and would be open to lawsuits galore, would be paid?

Ah, got it now.

I find it interesting that we as Villagers are all of the sudden concerned about trespassing, when we have been doing just that in order to access Lowe's and beyond. Unless I'm mistaken, wasn't that private property that Villagers have been rolling across for several years to get to Walmart? Just seems a bit hypocritical to use that argument now. I get the gate....MM Paths...bridge....amenity fees....I pay for it....that is a valid argument. But trespassing?

Trespassing is entering anothers property without permission, no matter which residents are doing so. Watch for further restrictions down the road from businesses and private property owners in that area abutting 441.

Anyone looking to buy or who already lives in the Historic Section should be prepared for a correction, to the access they are using at this time, which would bar future use of this private property.

the golf cart path up to lowe's/walmart has been crossed with the expressed permission of the owner, mr. brown...who, btw, went above and beyond the sale of his property to the assisted living facility to insure that the path would be accessible thru their property! thus, I believe, your statement re tresspass/hypocrisy holds no water.

property beyone that to access aldi's is crowwed without permission of the energy company, so there might be tresspass there.

Peachie - do you know something or have access to info that those of us in the historic neighborhoods don't?

Honestly, njbchbum, I do not have information about changes that may happen along the path by 441, but I remember how off-guard people were when the first wall went up. I got the impression that many who bought in the Historic Section were unaware that access to those stores could be changed at any time.

My statement was to make people aware it's bound to happen, sooner or later. Either access to that strip of stores will close or residents will be charged to use the private property to cross there to offset insurance costs and path maintenance. The property owners and businesses, by allowing people unfettered access across their land, are pretty much accepting liability for those travelers.

It's my hope that the residents of the Historic Section are able to make some good decisions now for a change that most likely will occur shortly regarding those private properties.

Uninformed speculation is the worst kind of "stuff" This site is becoming filled with "stuff"

I hope this "stuff" does not cause people to take actions and make decisions that are based on this "stuff"

Remember Villagers, when you enter in through " the gate" , make sure no one "tailgates" through behind you.

Tailgating Damages Gate Arms

Tailgating, or the attempt to enter through a gate without using the button or passcard, is what has resulted in much of the damage to the gates. This is a waste of our funds. The sign at the gates clearly warns that the gates close after each car. Be responsible and wait another ten seconds!
