What advantage is it to villagers on the north side if TV expands into Fruitland Park or Wildwood and the developer wants to lie about cart access from other adjacent communities. Why is the developer still involved in the management of the north side villages?

.

You are a very nice person but if I recall you live in Stonecrest.

Some of us who live in The Villages, that would be me and my family, like how the developer and his family run things here. I have no need to serve on any committees or vote for anyone with big egos.

Where do you find that the Morses are telling lies about cart access?

It is now the Stonecrest ad by the Stonecrest developer that will have to change the lines about golfcart accessible to The Villages.

I like folks from Stonecrest, but you live there and we live here. If we live here and wanted access to your indoor pool would you allow it? You do not allow easy access into your community.

One just makes choices as to where they live and what comes with that ownership and what does not.

Here is the Stonecrest ad that says Stonecrest has golf cart access to The Villages.

If I were a builder in business to sell houses, that would be a good line. Business is business don't you know.

Well said, Graciegirl...if Stoncrest residents care to use The Village's cart paths, they are welcome to buy a home in The Villages.

DonH57 11-16-2013 09:57 AM

Very well put Gracie. Any other outside community or business developer will no longer be able to use the" access to the villages " ploy in their advertising but no garantee they'll stop.

Perhaps the developer is still involved because we of the north side are still a part of the villages?

And as far as returning access to the way it used to be - that should be left as a song concept for barbra streisand or people who are trying to get back their old insurance policies that were canceled.

Right on, as usual - Why does that not surprise me anymore?
For sure, remember before the wall, nothing was said about Stonecrest, but then the wall was put up so people could not get OUT. Now, the 'outsiders' are all we hear about using the Village trails, when in fact, we are using trails that are not ours, to get to Walmart, etc.
But we are doing so with the permission and the facilitation of the owner of that path to Walmart/Lowes.

At the bottom of their webpage is an email address that you can click on (info@armstronghomes.net) .... you can always email them and ask why they are advertising "And take a short golf cart ride to all the amenities in The Villages, including shopping, healthcare and entertainment." Now that the gate is in place.

Bogie shooter You are spot on but you won't get a straight answer because the answer is obvious.

This discussion concerning outsiders use of private cat paths is as old as The villages. The main difference finally is that village residents finally recognized that it is a big concern, something I have steadily repeated for the last 7 years.

The Developer is wise in protecting his brand an I for one am thankful that he is doing so because the cat paths are beginning to feel like I-4

Gracie.....Perfectly thought out and written. Now it's time for the Stonecrest advertising team to change their wording, as it no longer applies!:clap2::clap2:

To bad the friendly village people on this site can't understand this fact.

But isn't the difference that the villagers have permission to use the path to lowes/walmart and stonecrest residents do not have permission to enter the villages via golf cart?

Yes, I think so. I think the problem stems from the fact that Stonecrest could access TV through the Paradise gate for a long time, and now that's been cut off. The difference is that they were accorded that access as a gift, not a right. And now that gift has been taken away, for whatever reason.

Gate was broken open this morning…who did it?
