Backing a cart into a parking space so the stuff hanging on the back is now blocking the sidewalk does not seem the best of ideas to me. Maybe the driver should show a little personal responsibility and park in a parking lot?

I'm still having trouble visualizing how a 4 person golf cart is longer than a full sized car, SUV, or pick-up truck. I'm bringing a tape measure next time I'm at a square

Don't think a 4 seater could be longer than a car, but a 4 seater golf cart might be longer than a car is wide. I can just imagine all of the comments here if 4 seater golf carts started parking like cars....

These carts are parked "head in" in parallel parking spaces. The 4 seater carts are longer than a car is wide; therefore they protrude into the road way.

Why would anyone park an oversized cart in a parallel parking space head in? It's either the sign of a true "rocket scientist" or the laziest person on Earth

Ohhhhhh, gotcha!!! I read this whole thing and wasn't following at all until I read your description. Well done and you actually completely turned my opinion around on this. I'm on board with the OP now.
