Hi, I just recently moved to the Villages. I'm a young adult and had to move with my mom A) Because I have some medical conditions that keep me from living on my own at the time and B) To be near family.
I've been trying for six months to get a job and have applied to several jobs in the Villages. Are there any better resources besides job websites? |

Some of the country clubs request that you apply in person. Try Publix or Winn Dixie. Beef o'bradys was looking for help in colony. Stop there. MVP is looking for part time member services. Look on MVP athletics website. Good Luck.

Check out The Villages Community Development Districts website. It has job postings. Look for the quick link "employment opportunities". You can sign up for email notification when new jobs are posted.

People are always looking for weeders and trimmers for their planting beds. Just decide on an hourly fee( $15 to$20??) and pay TOTV to advertise on here.
If you are able and willing to work, you will have lots of customers for weeding and trimming.

You cannot just go to a Country Club to apply. If you are looking for a job in golf course maintenance call one of the courses to find out the name of the company that takes care of the country club. As far as working for the Country Club ie: ranger starter or inside help you have to apply at Golf Management Services

You can go to some of the Country Club restaurants to apply. Mallory and Cane Garden advertise in the Daily Sun and request you apply in person.

Apply in person. Bring your resume. Any job is better than no job if you don't have one. If you have one that is a better bargaining chip to get a better one.

I am also looking for a job. I am using Indeed, Careers in The Villages, Craigslist, and Express Employment. I have 37 years experience in Faculty/machinery Maintenance, if anyone knows of anything. I would like to get into working on Golf carts.

I spent one summer working out of a Singer Sewing Machine store going door to door fixing machines. If I could not fix the machine I brought it back to the store. Maybe you could get a commission job with a golf cart store where you did in home service. In short try and start your own business with a backup for getting help as needed.

I have been offered two legitimate jobs in the last three years and I was not looking for any.
Don't sit behind a computer and send things off into cyber space. Take a nice shower, have your hair cut, remove all metal from your head and take yourself to where people work here. That would be food services, landscaping, or sales or something connected with tourism. Take an entry level job and show them you know how to work.

You can take a resume to the Country Club restaurants. Orange Blossom, Belle Glade, Bonifay, Evan's Prairie, Glenview, Mallory, Cane Garden & Hacienda Hills.
Also try City Fire and Codys. There are many restaurants looking for help.
