Thank goodness I get most of my news about TV from this forum.

It’s always the few who can make/get in trouble and cause bad publicity. I wonder if others are just envious that the vast majority of this community is having a great time here while being good citizens.

Agreed. I mean, look at the police blotter in any city USA and you'll find the same stuff (sans golf carts). Why would TV be any different? We are still humans here.

I think the Herald should reflect on their own city's arrest reports. Definitely some weird stuff to write about there.

Ok y'all....here's another way of looking at this....maybe it will keep the morons from buying a home here.

Something like this was posted on Facebook in my HS class forum from a classmate who is a doctor! And he opening pointed his finger at us since he knew we lived here. Of course I defended ourselves, we do not run in the wife swapping circles or anything like that!

Boy was I embrassed but then I thought I know what my hubby and I do and it's not what they say about the crazy stuff that happens here.

We want to keep morons out who think we are all sexual crazies but, we don't want to invite sexual perverts here!

Au contraire.... stories like this will attract more morons to TV. Its obvious that the nation is fascinated with the concept of The villages and hence its draws attention even for stories as mundane as cited in the Miami Hearld

I was e-mailed a video with the content of the 7 strangest cities on the planet and much to my surprise the number 1 strangest city listed was The Villages.

I did take umbrage toward the producers of this video and thought this place is a very ordinary and old concept in places like Florida, Arizona, California. The only difference is that it is bigger.

So as many of us are golfers we understand the concept of bad experiences best forgotten quickly and onto the next shot

Yellow journalism is so prevalent in this world today and it is like a barrage of ugly vomit that is stinking us all up.

Those stories happened and made most of us cringe but we know all the good stuff that happens here and the happy things and the smiles exchanged and the quiet gentle selfless acts that really make this a place to live that makes us all proud. They don't see the volunteers in the hospital, at the soup kitchen, in the local classrooms, and the good strong happy unions that exist all over this place. They don't see married people holding hands and laughing together and enjoying evenings with friends. They don't see singles enjoying activities that enrich and enliven their lives and are just plain fun of the wholesome variety.

It is not interesting to talk about golf groups who have enjoyed each others company for years and church groups who gather each week to support each other and to praise their maker.

They don't talk about people here learning and practicing fun new crafts and arts and continuing to sing and dance and play music for the joy of it.

Enough. Sour grapes Miami. Too bad. You ain't us.

I have not seen much in the way of sexual tension in the air in the Villages since moving here in June of 2005.

Once in a while I see a very happy couple holding hands but that is about it.

I think the OP's calling it Sexual Tensions was way off the mark. He should have called it embarrassing behavior. We have all the usual happy things happening here, maybe not quite as often as they used to, maybe not in public, but none of us are dead yet.
