Default Sweetbay - Very expensive meat

Was reviewing the most recent ad from Sweetbay and I am looking at the front page where they are advertising an Angus Whole Beef Tenderloin on sale for 9.99 per pound. They say you are saving 7.80 per pound. That means that their regular price is 17.79 per pound for choice beef????? Well I called them and was surprised that I was the first to let them know. Whoops. Watch those prices! :dontknow:

I haven't been to Sweetbay yet, but....meat everywhere is getting ridiculous. Need the corn feed for ethanol for the gas hogs you know.

We've found that Sam's has excellent meat consistently, and for the most part is as economical as you'll find barring local specials.

But wait, we're supposed to be limiting red meat to 2.5 oz/day right?

Our favorite salmon fillets as Sams have gone from $8.99/10 filets to (today) $18.32/10 same producer. This in less than a year!

$9.99 for Angus Tenderloin is actually a decent price.

Up here in New England the lowest price for a normal tenderloin is $12.99 (BJ's or Costco may have it for $9 or so). Most of the Angus cuts are 20-25% more.
