Default We need help.......

Our daughter and her family have been in south FL and will be stopping here for one night on their way back to MI. They are pulling a large camper. What do we need to do as far as them parking? Can they park in our driveway overnight? We live in a Cul de sac so parking on the street is out. They have 3 kids and a dog, so they would like to stay in the camper over night if possible. Thanks for any words of advice!

I really don't think District Government monitors this site. You probably should call and ask someone. They are open today. The Holiday will be celebrated on Monday.

No one is going to mind if you have a large camper in your driveway overnight. The rule is anything over 72 hours ist verboten.

We often park our 30 ft motorhome in our driveway over one or 2 nights. The driveway is 30 feet long and the motorhome fills the space. If I had a motorhome longer than that I would park a car in the street to make sure no one would misjudge the end of the motorhome.
The worst that community watch could do would be to send you a stern letter. Just reply that it's gone and you will be forgiven.
All the non villa roads are county/town roads and there may be some county/town regulations that apply but we park our motorhome in the drive 3 or 4 times per year in Sumter county and never have had any problems.

We just measured our driveway and it is 30 ft :-( It will only be for one night, so maybe putting a car in front of it would work???
Is there any place else around TV that you can over night a camper? Rec center? THey would just have to all sleep at our house
then.

If you park in front, make sure it does not block the street for emergency vehicles.

Plan B would be to rent a parking spot at Recreation Plantation over on rte 466 and Rolling Acres road. Lots of full hookup sites plus storage sites.

Park it in the driveway, don't worry about just one night...and enjoy your daughter's and grand-kids visit.

And yes, they can stay in it.

The absolute worst that can happen is one of your jerk neighbors may whine and Community Watch may tell you not to do it again, but it's only for one night...so BFD.

They can park it, but not stay in it.

LET THEM SLEEP IN YOUR DRIVEWAY. If you get grief, ignore it. Nobody is gonna croak if your FAMILY is here in The Villages, America's Friendliest Hometown!!!
HAVE A BLAST!!!! Push comes to shove, send them to my house. My neighbors are so cool they would bring them food and drink. it's a party.

Our neighbors across the street have a huge drive camper that they leave in the street when they are packing to go on a trip in it. They do this several times a year. no problem
