Default Sylvester Palm Tree Removal

I have a Sylvester Palm tree that is around 10-12 feet tall that is dying and needs to be removed. Looking for recommendations for a good and reasonable landscaper. I would like it cut down and the stump grinded out and new sod placed. Before I meet with anyone to do this I was wondering if anyone has had this done and if so what is the cost so I have an idea what to expect. Thank you in advance for any info.

Our large Sylvester (probably 20') was killed by a lightning strike a couple years ago. A tree service had big equipment and offered to do it for $1,000. Husband balked at price and hired a company that did not have much equipment that did it for $450, but then we had to call a stump grinder in for around $150 or $200. One landscaper refused to even go near it as the spines are toxic.

We had a 14-15 foot Sylvester palm removed for $750 recently. It was in a tight space between houses. Had stump removed but did not need sod replaced.
Sylvesters are pricier to remove than other palms because of their huge trunks and thorny fronds.
We used Luis Landscaping, 352-821-9967. They took a few weeks to work us in, but we were very pleased with their work.
