I was extremely disappointed to see the original post. I have lived in TG for almost two years.
We have great neighbors, great social life, lots to do with The Villages activities as well as Drive Way parties in a close knit community. To assume something is wrong because of a few real estate listings??!! As usual Gracie is the voice of reason with her response. i, being a "Grover" thinks our "hood" is the best. I hope the originator finds what they are looking for...........in another neighborhood.

It is people like you that make it very difficult to ask any questions on this site. If you are so "disappointed" that's your problem. You people don't have enough to do if all you can think of is to slam anyone asking a simple question. Grow up.

Most of us did not even dream that living in any place in our senior years could be so wonderful and many folks reading this forum who have yet to move here are probably very skeptical and incredulous. WHO wouldn't be? You have to live here to know just how great life is day to day even in the sweltering summers. Most of us believe that we live in the VERY BEST VILLAGE. I was met with the same kind of defensiveness when first I asked questions on this forum. It looks different now from the "other side". Keep asking questions.

That's why they call it The Villages. Everyone has their own little cave (village) that they chose to spend their special years together or alone. We all have nice Villages, and nice people for neighbors. You couldn't ask for a better paradise as we age SLOWLY!! Lets be thankful for the great living we endure. Gracie, well said!! Lets all be happy we have this place to retire to, and wear a smile every day!!

I think some responders over-reacted. It was an honest question...people offered helpful advice and I imagine the original poster said something like, "oh, that makes sense, good to hear". It's a big decision and was just a question not a slam on a neighborhood.

When we first started looking in TV, TG was being built. I remember looking at the pool there and thinking it was absolutely the most beautiful setting.

I don't think the OP was being attacked for the question, IMHO, it was the followup by another poster stating scary things with words like "sinkholes" and "problems". I agree with the OP and it was a good question to ask when you are searching for which village is right for them. Like all areas of TV, Tamarind Grove is beautiful and we look forward to moving into our home there.

I understand. I also would be defensive at times, I'm just asking questions as they come up for me. I appreciate your response. I love the villages and have been there more than 8 times, it is where I want to live the rest of my life and age slowly!
