Question Temp housing while buying in TV?

Hi All,

We are not sure how buying in TV works, when we have a home to sell now. Not sure if they will contract/finance while we sell or if we have to close on our sale before going under contract in TV.

With that said, what are temp housing options for December through March? Any info would be appreciated.

Thx

The usual options - buy a place, rent, camp out, or survive being homeless. All three options can be successful.

Sure they will. Lots of people own two houses.

I tried to pm you, but it wouldn't work. If you need a place to rent during that time period, please send me a pm on here and I will get back to you.

You can buy a house and get it financed if you qualify which means she home two houses and have financial obligations to both homes. If you were asking if you can go under contract before you have your house under contract and use that as a contingency to sell years then the answer is no you cannot do that here. Sellers do not have to take a contingency. So if you already have your house under contract then they will probably take the contingency for yours to sell. Sellers have plenty of other buyers that want to buy their homes so they are not willing to take their house off the market while you try to sell yours.

We bought a brand new Villages home while our other house was under contract. Our downpayment money was tied up in our house and we didn't know what to do. The Villages realtor directed us to Citizens First Mortgage and we got what was called a bridge loan. It required some paperwork from the buyers of our home to be sure they were totally committed and qualified to buy our other home. It worked out well.

On a used home it would probably require a contingency which most sellers will keep you on the back burner and the home would remain on the market with you getting the first right to buy it should another offer come along. Not all sellers will accept contingency offers.

If you qualify for a mortgage and support to homes it's not a big deal. Many here still own somewhere else and vacation here. At one time we owned three houses here and one up north. We fondly referred to them as house 1, 2, or 3, and the house up north was Home.
