It's made by Carrier. Why not just buy a Carrier unit? The probability of getting it repaired quickly is more likely. Also, I would hire Munn's, not some unknown contractor. When your system fails, you want it repaired quickly.

I have heard that they are good. But, they are not listed on the Carrier website as authorized Carrier dealers or installers. I would make sure that they can service the warranty without partnering with another company. I would also ask them how many technicians they have who are available to make repairs on the weekends or after hours. Munn's can usually make a repair the same day. They also have ready access to parts that are needed, and spare units in stock. To me, that is important. I am willing to pay a little more for that convenience. Is there any reason why the Good Guys cannot sell you a Carrier unit?

They are too small a business to obtain Carrier units.

On another thread, a poster said that they had installed a new Carrier system. But, if they now say they are too small to obtain a Carrier unit, I would not hire them. You are better off with a larger company.

Search YouTube. You can find several reviews by technicians.

I’ve had a tempstar unit for 5 or so years. It heats and cools the house just fine. When it was installed my electric bill went down a little bit. Of course it has since gone up. I have Good Guys service it once a year.

I have a Tempstar A/C and have had no problems. I have a friend from MA who owns an oil company and also fixes air conditioners and check with him to see if Tempstar is a good Air Conditioner and he said that it was as good as a Carrier and I saved $1000 by getting Tempstar. Have had no problems with it and that was two years ago.
